Nominations are now closed for the three positions available on our Board for the 2018-2021 term: two in District 1, the Lower Mainland, and one in District 2, Outside the Lower Mainland.

As you are aware, individuals seeking a position on the Board must:

  • be a registrant in good standing with the College, nominated by a registrant in good standing
  • be comfortable communicating in English
  • not be a director or officer of a TCM association
  • have no current conflicts of interest and agree to not take a position that would give rise to such a conflict.

Each candidate submitted a statement attesting to his or her commitment to serving the public interest, experience with governance and health regulation, and skills that they believe will serve the Board and the profession, well.

These additional qualities will be beneficial to the role of Board Director:

In addition, stop all the wastes resulted from various plans, and reduce the license renewal fee to 450 dollars. 2. Reform the curriculum of the college to focus on three specialization: Acupuncture, Tuina, and Chinese medicine 3. Strive to gain support from provincial government so to remove the requirement for Chinese medicine practitioners to consult the dentists, etc. Also, ICBC WCB patients and government workers should be able to receive formal TCM Ac. treatment.

Protecting the public is not a task that should lie solely with the College nor is it a task which is only of interest to the College. It is essential that the College works in cooperation with its members to meet this common goal. My previous education in public affairs and policy management at Carleton University and work in the Parliament of Canada and local government has given me broad insight into the effective and transparent development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs which balance social and economic factors. I believe my experience positions me well to initiate and facilitate safe and positive advancement in our profession.

Born in China, I am a R.TCM.P, science graduate from McGill University, currently an instructor in Vancouver Beijing College of Chinese Medicine. An active volunteer for many community programs, I have helped in BC Children's Hospital fundraising, Montreal General Hospital, Montreal Chest institute, Community Wellness clinic, and NGO project in Ghana. Received distinction for service performance from former senator. recently I hold bilingual TCM webinars to help English-speaking population to gain awareness of TCM. This August, I was a part of the 4th American TCM congress organizing committee to hold the event successfully in Seattle. With my Chinese and Western culture background, I will actively support BC through TCM.

I am Bao Di Liu, a R.TCM. Practitioner and familiar with the TCM regulations in BC. I received my TCM diploma in BC with my Master Degree of Engineering, title of China’s senior engineer and the experiences of the uses of diffusive herbs. I was Vice Chairman of Governance Committee of ATCMA from 2013 to 2018.  For protecting the public, I will do my best to improve the administration and technical level of TCM industry and the administrative and legal knowledge of the board members by making the transparent decisions, effective supervision and better education based on the correct procedures, seriously investigations and basic facts.

Poppi received his Bachelor of Social Sciences and Bachelors of Commerce, then graduated from the Doctorate of TCM program at the ITCMCV and has been a practicing Registered Acupuncturist under the CTCMA for ten years and has a PTSD and trauma practice in White Rock. Poppi was the last past president of the TCMABC, and helped the QATCMA and TCMABC merge into the ATCMA. Poppi stayed on the new board as the Public relations officer for a year and board adviser until 2015. Poppi looks forward to using his knowledge and past association board experience to help advocate competency, ethical practices and forward thinking industry practices for the TCM community.

I have 15 years of experience both working as a Pediatrician and as the managing director in several healthcare clinics in Iran. In Canada, I studied osteopathy and Chinese medicine and for the last 6 years i have been working in various healthcare related positions. As the medical director and primary care physician, I was responsible for developing and providing standard health care programs to the public and to create awareness in the community. In my opinion, the most important skill I have acquired throughout my professional career is the ability to communicate the merits and complexities of regulatory compliance to various stake holders in an effective and tangible way.

Yingsheng Wu, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Canada B.C., Registered Acupuncturist, well known Internal Kungfu, Qigong Master. Founding President of Canadian Chin Woo Athletic Association. President of Y.S. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Martial Arts College. Lecturer of Kwantlen Polytechnic University and PCU College of Holistic Medicine. Since immigrated to Vancouver from 2002 to now, he exploits Qigong, Taichi, Internal Kungfu, Gu Qing and other TCM therory of interoperability and integration and attached to practice. Appling this original creation of unique combination therapies to help those in need. Over the past 20 years, this medical health system has benefit numerous students and patients in China and Canada.


To manage and conduct the last Board Elections you’ll recall that we engaged the services of Simply Voting, an independent elections contractor. We’ve chosen to retain them to handle the electronic voting process once again.

Eligible Registrants are entitled to 1 (one) ballot each and may vote for up to 3 (three) candidates in any of the electoral districts in British Columbia.

Completed electronic ballots must be submitted no later than 12:00 Noon on December 11, 2018.

You will receive complete voting instructions from Simply Voting on November 5, 2018 when polls open.
