Criminal Record Review

The Criminal Records Review Act was enacted to protect children and vulnerable adults from individuals whose criminal record indicates they pose a risk of physical or sexual abuse. The Act requires that all applicants complete a criminal record review and all current registrants complete a review at least once every five-years.


New and Former Applicants

Before you submit your registration application, you are responsible for completing your criminal record review through the Ministry of Justice. The criminal record review may be completed online by visiting the Ministry's website using the access code below:

If you do not succeed with completing your criminal record review using the online system, you will be asked to complete a manual identification verification process:

  • Print out the form provided by the online system, carefully review the form, sign beside Applicant Signature on the last page;
  • attach one notarized copy of your primary ID and one notarized copy of your secondary ID;
  • attach the Credit Card Authorization Form; and
  • send the package by mail to:
