Director of Professional Practice

The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA) is pleased to announce that Simon Auyoung MSc, Dr.TCM will assume the new position of Director of Professional Practice on November 19, 2018.
Dr. Auyoung has had a long and successful tenure with the College as a member of many board committees related to practice standards, quality assurance and occupational competency. He is currently a member of both the Registration Committee, and the Education and Examination Committee, and plays an active role with the Practice Support Program Consultation Working Group.
His educational credentials include an MSc in Experimental Medicine from the University of British Columbia where his research focus was on functional brain mapping. He started his traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) education at Langara College in Vancouver and obtained his Diploma at Burnaby’s PCU College of Holistic Medicine. He then obtained a Certificate of Clinical Training & Advanced Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and a Certificate of Acupuncture & Moxibustion at China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center. He is a registered Dr.TCM in BC since 2006 and a NCCAOM Diplomate of Acupuncture in the USA.

The CTCMA is the official professional regulatory authority that regulates the practice of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists in the province of British Columbia. The College serves and protects the public interest by regulating safe and ethical traditional Chinese medicine practice in BC.
