Notice of Annual General Meeting

July 19, 2019

Notice is hereby given that the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of British Colu​mbia will be held:

  • Sunday September 22, 2019, 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm
  • Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport
  • 8181 Cambie Road, Richmond BC

The AGM is conducted in accordance with the provisions set out under the Health Professions Act, the College Bylaws and the Convention Standing Rules. The following matters must be considered:

  • Financial statements
  • Report of the board, and
  • Report of the auditor (if any).

Members of the public, Registrants and College staff are welcome to attend the AGM. Those unable to attend in person have the option of participating by webcast—details below.

Please note that this year’s AGM will be a half-day event. Photo IDs are required for Registration.

Proxy Form

A proxy identifies someone else whom you authorize to vote on your behalf if you are unable to attend the AGM. A proxy must be in writing and must be signed by the person granting the proxy as well as the proxy holder. Note that in accordance with CTCMA Bylaw 39 (6) the form of proxy must be completed and delivered to the CTCMA registrar at least six (6) days prior to the AGM, that is, by September 16, 2019.

Education Seminar

For this year’s Seminar Dr. Brad Matthews and Dr. David Cane will present Understanding the Practice Support Program – A Tool to Support the Development of your Practice. The College is in the final stages of developing and implementing the Practice Support Program (PSP), and Brad and David will talk about the ways Registrants can benefit from the program. Registration begins at 12:00 noon and seating is limited.

Continuing Education (CE) Credits will be given to those attending the Education Seminar and the AGM.

  • No CE credits given for the Q & A Session or for breaks.

  • In-person Attendees: CE certificates will be accorded for registrants to document participation in their Continuing Competency Activity Log as Category A1 – Direct Participatory, Formal Programs.

  • Webcast Attendees: Registrants may document participation in their Continuing Competency Activity Log as Category C – Structured Interactive Activities.


As always there will be ample parking available at the Hotel from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. See the attached map and be sure to park only in the complimentary Blue Zone as shown.


The Seminar and the AGM will be webcast for the convenience of those who are unable to attend in person and we look forward to welcoming Registrants from around the province.

The webcast will be able to accommodate up to 499 participants and will begin at 1:00 pm on September 22, 2019. Please note, anyone participating by webcast will be able to observe only. You won’t be able to ask questions or vote on motions.
